Summary
Fruits of 2 table grape cultivars (Helwani and Baladi) from 3 vineyards in southern Syria were stored in cooled rooms (0-3 deg C). Total losses after 9 weeks were 39.2 and 66.5% for Helwani and Baladi, respectively. Total losses were reduced by SO2 treatment at all storage stages, being 42.9 and 57.4% for SO2-treated and non-treated fruits, respectively after 9 weeks.
