STORAGE ABILITY OF STUMPS OF WHITE-HEADED CABBAGE DEPENDING ON THE TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS OF STORAGE.

Author(s) : POLEGAEV V. I.

Summary

TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS AND THE STORAGE ABILITY OF STUMPS WERE STUDIED ON THREE CABBAGE VARIETIES. STORAGE TO THE BEGINNING OF FEBRUARY AT 272, 274.5 K (-1, 1.5 DEG C) RETARDS THE DEVELOPMENT OF DISORDERS, THEN THE INCREASE TO 275 K (2 DEG C) PROVIDES THE DIFFERENTIATION OF BUDS AND CONTRIBUTES TO THE FORMATION OF WELL DEVELOPED ROOTS IN THE FIELD. SUCH CONDITIONS PROVIDE A HIGH YIELD OF SEEDS AND PLANTS WITH AVERAGE HEIGHT, WITH LITTLE BRANCHING, WITH A GREAT NUMBER OF PRODUCTIVE SHOOTS, EASILY HARVESTED MECHANICALLY.
