Summary
Four non-refrigerated storage methods namely passive-draft evaporatively cooled storage, radioactively cooled storage, farm level (brick + sand) storage and evaporatively cooled storage of potatoes were investigated. Results are described in terms of shrinkage, sprouting, weight losses, for several cultivars. Taking into consideration various aspects of non-refrigerated storage, farm level (brick + sand) store was the best for storing potatoes.
