Summary

Reports that within six months of the hospital being commissioned staff began to complain of dry eyes and irritated eyes and skin. From an intensive indoor air quality assessment, these complaints were identified as being due to air-borne particulates from construction residual dust, fibreglass ceiling tiles and laundry lint. Describe the monitoring undertaken to identify the sources and mechanisms for the dust distribution. States the results of the study were used by the hospital to identify and develop a successful remedial action plan.
