Study of processes in drain lines and development of rational designs for condenser system arrangement.

Summary

The paper presents a model of the free drain from condensers into a linear receiver. Vessels filled with water are used as a pilot model; the fluid drains from the vessels under the effect of gravity. The values obtained for the rational lengths of the drain pipelines are given for R717, R12 and R22. The process ran at an average speed for a certain period of time. The parameters are related to the length and diameter of the pipeline. The recommendations on the rational configuration of the condenser system designs are examined in the conclusion.
