Summary

THE AUTHORSPRESENT THE RESULTS OF A TEST ON THE EFFECT OF THE WEAR OF HERMETIC COMPRESSOR COMPONENTS AT HIGH ROTATION SPEEDS ON THEIR THERMAL STRESSES WHEN OPERATING WITH R12, R22 AND R502. TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTION IN COMPRESSORS IS SHOWN AND THEIRQUANTITATIVE EVALUATION IN TERMS OF OPERATING CONDITIONS IS GIVEN. THE PREPONDERANT EFFECT OF CLEARANCE IN THE CYLINDER-PISTON JUNCTION ON THE THERMAL STRESS OF THE COMPRESSOR WAS EVALUATED. THE RESULTS CAN BE USED FOR THE DETECTION OF THE TECHNICAL CONDITION OF COMPRESSORS. R.R.
