Summary
In the study, the effect of heat transfer inside scroll compressor is investigated experimentally and numerically. The experiment is performed at various rotational speeds of the compressor and the compression process inside scroll compressor is simulated by equation of mass and energy balances for the refrigerant. As the performance indication factors for the scroll compressor, isentropic and volumetric efficiencies are calculated in the numerical analysis. From the numerical results, the effects of leakages and heat transfer are analyzed. The heat transfer inside the scroll compressor is discovered to play an important role from the analysis of the compression process.
