Summary
The results of a trial for the storage of three melon cultivars: "Tamaris", "Sweet Rock", and "Harper" are shown. Temperatures of 10, 5 and 0 deg C were tested for 10, 20, and 30 days. A high concentration treatment with 1000 ppm ethylene for 24 hours was carried out on "Tamaris" and "Sweet Rock". The results show that "Sweet Rock" can be stored for more than 10 days. "Harper" was completely unfit because of its susceptibility to chilling injury.
