Survey of refrigerated transport in Finland.

Summary
The principal characteristics of transport in Finland are described, especially the need to heat the enclosures in specific conditions of very low outdoor temperature, and the great length of average journeys. The profession of road transporter is analyzed (12,600 companies, a total of 25,500 vehicles). A big part of this profession is devoted to domestic transport, a small part to international transport. In this last area the number of ATP registered vehicles is growing. The tonnages carried and the main countries of export are detailed.
