System performance analysis on the slush-ice cold thermal storage system.

Summary

The system performance of cold thermal storage system using slush-ice has been studied both experimentally and analytically. A bench scaled cold thermal storage system using slush-ice for the home use was constructed. The effects of the parameters on the system performance were determined experimentally. Furthermore, the simulations on the system performances were carried out. The results of simulation for the system output such as temperatures and power consumption agreed well with the experimental ones. The appropriate operation mode from the point of view of the system performance was discussed.
