Technological changes in individual air-conditioning.
Les évolutions technologiques de la climatisation individuelle.
Author(s) : MOLLE N.
Summary
To satisfy new user requirements concerning noise, aesthetics, flexibility of use, comfort quality and regulations, individual air-conditioning has had to change. Technological advances are described, such as compressors (rolling piston and scroll compressors, plus vibration absorption), exchangers (worked fins, smaller-diameter tubes, reduced air velocity, finned-plate aluminium exchangers, star and wire exchangers), fans (noise reduction), control and regulation (multi-input and multi-output systems with numerous variables, and integration of "neuron" networks).
