Temperature efficiency of rooms with displacement ventilation.

Author(s) : ZHAO H. Z., ZHAO L.

Summary

Temperature efficiency is a generally recognized index for estimating ventilation effectiveness, but so far authors still have no way of determining its value except by testing. In the paper, based on analysis of typical temperature patterns of an upwardly ventilated room with different heat source conditions, the temperature efficiency is proven to closely correlate with the thermal stratification height, the room radiation transfer factor, the room volume, and the ratio of the source to floor area.
