TEST FACILITY FOR HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP IN COIL WOUND, MIXED REFRIGERANT HEAT EXCHANGERS.

Author(s) : BRENDENG E.

Summary

CORRELATIONS THAT MIGHT BE USED TO CALCULATE TRANSPORT PROPERTIES, HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROPS IN COIL WOUND MIXED REFRIGERANT HEAT EXCHANGERS HAVE BEEN SUGGESTED BY THE MANUFACTURERS. DIRECT MEASUREMENTS OF TEMPERATURE PROFILES AND PRESSURE DROPS ARE NECESSARY TO REDUCE THE UNCERTAINTIES IN THE CORRELATIONS. A SMALL TEST FACILITY HAS BEEN BUILT FOR MEASURING HEAT TRANSFER AND PRESSURE DROP, FOR BOTH SHELL-SIDE AND TUBE-SIDE, WITH MULTICOMPONENT REFRIGERANTS.
