Summary
VISUALIZATION TESTS SHOWED THE EXISTENCE OF TWO SEPARATE OPERATIONAL AREAS. THE UPPER PART IS THE SITE FOR CONDENSATION IN ANNULAR TWO-PHASE OPERATION AND THE LOWER PART IS FLOODED BY THE CONDENSATE. THE TOP OF THIS AREA IS ACTED UPON BY THE PENETRATION OF THE CONDENSATE FILM LIKE A WALL JET WHEREAS AT THE BOTTOM, NATURAL AND FORCED CONVECTION PROCESSES SUPERPOSE ON EACH OTHER. AS FOR THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT, THE COMPARISON BETWEEN TEST AND CALCULATED DATA IN EACH AREA ENABLES ONE TO DEFINE A DIMENSIONING PROCEDURE. A PROGRAMME FOR THE SIMULATION OF THE SUBCOOLER-CONDENSER SHOWED THE EFFECT OF SOME PARAMETERS.
