Summary

THE QUEST FOR NEW AND SUITABLE PROTECTIVE MEDIA FOR THE PURPOSE OF CRYOPRESERVATION OF BOAR SPERMATOZOA STILL PRESENTS A PROBLEM CONNECTED WITH THE SPECIFIC PECULIARITIES OF SUCH CELLS. THE EFFECT OF THE NEW PROTECTIVE COMPONENT PEG20 -ESTHER OF POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL AND POLYNONSATURATED FAT ACIDS WITH MOLECULAR WEIGHT 20,000 ON THE FREEZING ABILITY, REANIMATION AND MORPHOLOGY OF BOAR SPERMATOZOA WAS EVALUATED. IN EACH CASE THE ADDITION OF PEG20 IMPROVED PERFORMANCE WHEN COMPARED WITH CONTROLS. C. B.
