Summary

MULTIPHASE OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTORS OF NOMINAL COMPOSITIONS TL(2)BACA(2)CU(3)O(X) HAVE BEEN SYNTHESIZED AND CHARACTERIZED BY RESISTIVITY AND MAGNETIC SUSCEPTIBILITY MEASUREMENTS. NMR SPIN ECHOES OF 2 THALLIUM ISOTOPES HAVE BEEN DETECTED AND THE LINE SHIFTS, THE SPIN-LATTICE AND SPIN-SPIN RELAXATION TIMES HAVE BEEN MEASURED AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. THE TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF THE SPIN-LATTICE RELAXATION RATE IS ALSO REPORTED. THE RESULTS SUGGEST THAT THALLIUM HAS A SMALL ELECTRO-NIC DENSITY OF STATES AT THE FERMI LEVEL IN THE OXIDE SUPERCONDUCTORS.
