THE SASOL PROCESS IS BASED ON THE LURGI COAL GASIFICATION PROCESS. CRYOTECHNOLOGY IS APPLIED ON THE INDUSTRIAL SCALE IN FOUR MAIN UNITS OF SASOL PLANT FOR AIR SEPARATION, GAS PURIFICATION, COLD SEPARATION AND ETHYLENE. COOLING IS A CORNERSTONE OF THE CHEMICAL INDUSTRY AND CONTRIBUTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF KNOWLEDGE IN THIS DOMAIN.
