Summary

IN A FEW YEARS, CFCS HAVE CHANGED FROM A SERIES OF APPLAUDED AND WELL ACCEPTED CHEMICAL COMPOUNDS INTO COMPOUNDS OPEN TO SUSPICION, WHICH CAN BE INVOLVED IN THE HARMFUL EFFECT ON THE OZONE LAYER. AS LONG AS CFCS ARE IN CONFINED SYSTEMS, THERE IS NO DANGER. IT IS IMPORTANT TO TAKE MEASURES TO IDENTIFY AND WARN OF UNDESIRABLE EMISSIONS IN TIME. THIS ARTICLE DEALS WITH THE APPLICATIONS, THE CHEMICAL AND PHYSICAL PROPERTIES AND THE VARIOUS PRINCIPLES OF MEASUREMENT, TOGETHER WITH THEIR ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES. THE SECOND ARTICLE DEALS WITH SAFETY MEASURES, DETECTION AND ANALYSIS.
