BRIEFLY DESCRIBES THE BASIC PRINCIPLE, THE TYPE OF CONSTRUCTION AND THE TRIAL RESULTS OF A NEW PILOT HEAT PUMP WHICH USES AN AMMONIA-WATER MIXTURE AS WORKING MEDIUM. ENERGY SAVINGS ACHIEVED WITH A DUAL AGENT HEAT PUMP, CAN BE QUITE CONSIDERABLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE TEMPERATURE INCREASE OF THE WARMED MEDIUM IS OF SUFFICIENT MAGNITUDE.
