The characteristic analysis of chilling water unit energy-saving operation by frequency conversion.

Author(s) : LIU X., LU J., LIU J.

Summary

The air conditioning system often works under part load condition, it causes low energy efficiency and raises unnecessary energy consumption. Frequency conversion operation is a popular way to save energy. The frequency conversion range of cooling water pump is influenced by the load of water chilling unit, cooling tower and the chilling water. It is instructional to study frequency conversion range for the least energy consumption of air conditioning system according to the operating characteristic. Theoretic model of water chilling unit, cooling water pump and cooling tower is set up in this paper. The frequency conversion operating characteristic of cooling water pump under certain cooling load and outdoor meteorology parameter is obtained.
