Summary
The Chinese Frozen Food Federation estimates that by the year 2000, production of frozen food in China will have risen from today's 4.5 million tonne level to a level of 8.5 to 10 million tonnes. Total consumption remains low (1 kg/per capita/year) compared with the United States and Europe (where consumption is 53 kg/per capita/year and 25 kg/per capita/year respectively).
