The cooling capacity of hybrid regenerative cycle.

Author(s) : LU Y. F., ZHI T., GONG Y. Y., et al.

Summary

A mathematical model for hybrid regenerative (HR) cycle used in magnetic refrigeration near room temperature is developed and presented to calculate this cooling capacity. The hybrid regenerative cycle is characterized of both refrigerant and fluid as regenerative medium. With Gd of the same mass and applying the same magnetic field, the cooling capacity is calculated for AMR and HR. In particular, the cooling capacity is calculated and discussed with inputting magnetizing work. The results show that the HR cycle has an obvious advantage over the conventional AMR.
