THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PLATE HEAT EXCHANGER LIQUID CHILLER UNIT.

Summary

THE UNIT EMPLOYS CLOSED-TYPE FORCED-FED PLATE HEAT EXCHANGERS. COMBINED WITH A SCREW COMPRESSOR, IT HAS THE UNIQUE FEATURE THAT IT CAN ACCOMMODATE MOST CHILLING AND CONDENSING CONDITIONS TO WHICH AIR CONDITIONING, WATER CHILLING, HEAT PUMP AND MINE REFRIGERATION UNITS ARE SUBJECTED. IT CAN COOL WATER TO CLOSE TO ITS FREEZING POINT, CONSEQUENTLY LOW TEMPERATURE ENERGY SOURCES CAN EFFECTIVELY BE UTILIZED. WHEN EMPLOYING ANTIFREEZE SOLUTIONS, MUCH WEAKER SOLUTIONS CAN BE USED THAN WITH SHELL AND TUBE EVAPORATORS. IN MINE REFRIGERATION THE NEED TO COOL MINE SERVICE WATER TO CLOSE TO ITS FREEZING POINT CAN EASILY BE MET.
