SAMPLES WERE CRYOPRESERVEDIN A SOLUTION CONTAINING NUTRIENT MEDIUM, 10% FETAL CALF SERUM, AND 2 DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS (10 OR 20%) OF DMSO AND STORED IN LIQUID NITROGEN FOR 2 WEEKS. THE MEAN INTRASAMPLE COEFFICIENT OF VARIATION OF THE CILIARY BEAT FREQUENCIES(CBF) DECREASED SIGNI-FICANTLY AFTER CRYOPRESERVATION. AFTER THAWING, CBF REMAINED UNCHANGED FOR AT LEAST 4 HOURS.
