VARIOUS DEFROSTING SYSTEMS ARE ANALYSED WITH REGARD TO THEIR ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND IT HAS BEEN CONCLUDED THAT THE MOST ECONOMICAL SYSTEM IS HOT GAS DEFROSTING BY REVERSING THE REFRIGERATION CYCLE.
