Summary

THE EFFECT OF DOPING ON BOTH THE BAND STRUCTURE AND THE NEEL TEMPERATURE OF LA(2)CUO(4)-TYPE METAL-OXIDE COMPOUNDS IS CONSIDERED. A MODEL IS PROPOSED TO INTERPRET THE CONCENTRATION DEPENDENCE OF THE NEEL TEMPERATURE, ASSUMING THAT THE ELECTRON PROPERTIES OF SUCH SYSTEMS ARE DETERMINED PRINCIPALLY BY A COPPER-OXYGEN PLANE. THE THEORETICAL RESULTS ARE COMPARED WITH EXPERIMENTAL DATA.
