Summary
THE HEAT TRANSFER ROW CORRECTIONS WERE INVESTIGATED FOR 4 DIFFERENT STAGGERED FINNED TUBE BANKS. FOR PLATE FINS AND ELLIPTIC FINS THE ROW NUMBER EFFECT IS REYNOLDS NUMBER DEPENDENT. A CRITICAL REYNOLDS NUMBER IS FOUND WHEN THE GEOMETRY OF TUBE BANKS IS GIVEN. A CORRELATION FOR CRITICAL REYNOLDS NUMBER IS PRESENTED. FOR CIRCULAR FINS, THE HEAT TRANSFER COEFFICIENT DECREASES AS THE ROW NUMBER INCREASES AND THE CRITICALREYNOLDS NUMBER IS NOT FOUND.
