Summary
With the local typical meteorological year data, the influence of low solar absorptivity coating (LSAC) on the energy consumption of air-conditioning and heating of a room located in the typical city which is located in “cold”, “hot in summer and cold in winter”, as well as “hot in summer and warm in winter” climatic regions respectively was discussed. It is founded that: for a room in the cold regions, such as Beijing, if LSAC is used, the increase of heating energy consumption in winter is more than the reduction of airconditioning energy consumption in summer, so there is no obvious energy conservation in the whole year. Hence, the insulation layers are fitter for these regions. For a room in the regions belong to the type of “hot in summer and cold in winter”, such as Shanghai, the evaluation for the effects of LSAC on the whole year energy consumption is related to the heating ways in winter. If the energy efficiency ratio of heating (EERh) and air-conditioning (EERc) can satisfy EERh/ EERh<1.24, the adoption of LSAC can’t bring energy conservation gain in whole year. However, if the heating way is central heating (EERh=4.3), the whole year energy conservation gains could reach 5.54 kWh/m2 for the room without insulations but coated with LSAC, and could reach 1.28 kWh/m2 for the room with insulations coated with LSAC. For a room in the regions belong to the type of “hot in summer and warm in winter”, such as Guangzhou, compared with the adoption of insulating layers, the reduction of air-conditioning energy consumption when using LSAC is more remarkable, and the energy conservation gain per unit area could reach 2.65 times of that using insulation layers.
