Summary

This new edition of the manual makes the operating of a refrigeration circuit very easily accessible to a beginner and explains how to install and commission an air-conditioning system and how to diagnose a failure very quickly. Following a review of R407C and R410A, it lists all the causes for dysfunctioning by giving numerous practical examples (questionnaries and their results), directly applicable to the work site and it details all the types of failure specific to reversible air conditioners. A special chapter is devoted to electric repairs. The operation of inverter systems, electronic expansion valves, refrigerant recovery problems, etc. is also given. In the new hydraulics section, the handbook studies cold-water provision of a water tower and a large house and then the processes used in order to obtain hot water. Then, the handbook lists types of heat pumps (water-sourced, geothermal, air-sourced) for floor heating or radiators.
