FOR METROPOLITAN SEATTLE'S RENTON WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT, THE SELECTED ENERGY SYSTEMS INCLUDE PROVISION OF HOT WATER THROUGH PLANT EFFLUENT HEAT PUMPS SUITABLE FOR USE IN 5 POTENTIAL DISTRICT HEATING PROJECTS, DUAL INDEPENDENT 115 KILOVOLT ELECTRICAL SERVICE TO THE PLANT, AN ENERGY-SAVING PLANT HYDRONIC DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM, AND EQUIPMENT FOR THE COMPRESSION,CLEANSING, AND SALE OF DIGESTER GAS TO THE LOCAL GAS UTILITY. TWO DISTRICT HEATING PROJECTS ARE UNDER DEVELOPMENT, AND 3 ADDITIONAL DISTRICT HEATING PROJECTS HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED.
