Summary

The main technical characteristics of a new series of air coolers produced by a manufacturer in the USA are illustrated. This series includes both traditional fan-coil units and air coolers for ceiling installation; its major advancement concerns the reduction of the noise level, which is achieved thanks to fans of improved energy efficiency (tangential fan for the traditional unit and centrifugal fan for the ceiling unit) and to careful design of the aerodynamic system, intended to minimise pressure drop.
