SEVERAL ASPECTS OF THE FILLING LIMITATION REQUIREMENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL GAS CARRIER CODE ARE DISCUSSED. CRITERIA HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED BY MEANS OF WHICH IT IS POSSIBLE TO ASSESS WHETHER OR NOT A FILLING LIMIT HIGHER THAN 0. 98 MAY BE ALLOWED. SOME PRACTICAL EXAMPLES OF THEIR APPLICATION ARE PRESENTED.
