Summary

This article presents the design and construction of a refrigerating plant for a fish-handling factory in northern Germany. The plant is based on a CO2/NH3 cascade cycle and on propylene glycol distribution. The capacity at -42 °C is 1500 kW, 1300 kW at -8 °C and 2000 kW at -4 °C.
