THE PAPER DEALS WITH THE CURRENT SITUATION OF LNG ROAD TRANSPORT AND WITH REGULATIONS IN FORCE IN JAPAN. THEN, IT DESCRIBES THE ACTION OF TOKYO GAS IN ORDER TO IMPROVE ITS LNG SUPPLY CAPACITY AND TO REINFORCE THE SAFETY MEASURES, IN PARTICULAR BY THE ADOPTION OF TRAILER-TYPE TRUCKS EQUIPPED WITH THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM.
