Summary
The centralized free air distribution was studied in experimental cooling chambers. The results obtained pointed out the uniformity of velocities and temperatures within the cooled spaces. In comparison with the beam-channel distribution, the centralized free distribution system has less pressure losses than the beam-channel system, and hence, 50% less power is consumed by the fans.
