Summary
This article presents a refrigeration cycle using isobutane as the refrigerant. To increase the efficiency, the use of a superfeed compressor was proposed. Thermodynamic equations are presented, along with optimization of the intermediate pressure. A comparison between R12 and isobutane is given.
