Summary
The scroll technology is more and more standard in refrigerating, air-conditioning and heat pump systems. The important role plays the choice of the refrigerant corresponding to the purpose of a cooling (heating) circuit. There are wide offers of different refrigerants on the market. Each refrigerant has its own plus and minus aspects why to use it. The real working condition, temperatures and pressures play important roles beside the character of the work of a device. The scroll design has some typical characteristics influencing the performances of a system. Using the optimum choice means to use the corresponding refrigerant also. The comparison of different scroll types and different refrigerants is discussed.
