FOR A MAXIMUM STORAGE LIFE AND MINIMUM LOSSES, THE BULBS SHOULD BE AT THE FULL RIPE STAGE AT HARVESTING TIME: THEY SHOULD BE DRIED TILL THE NECK OF THE BULB HAS SHRUNK, THEN STORED AT 273 K (0 DEG C) AT 70 TO 75% RH.
