THE TECHNIP PROCESS FOR THE CRYOGENIC RECOVERY OF LPG AND ETHANE.

LE PROCEDE TECHNIP DE RECUPERATION CRYOGENIQUE DE GPL ET D'ETHANE.

Author(s) : PARADOWSKI H., CASTEL J.

Summary

OVER THE PAST YEARS, THE GAS LIQUIDS RECOVERY HAS PROGRESSIVELY EVOLVED TOWARDS THE INCREASED EXTRACTION OF LIGHT HYDROCARBONS SUCH AS BUTANE, PROPANE AND ETHANE. CRYOGENIC TECHNIQUES HAVE REPLACED THE COLD OIL ABSORPTION PROCESSES. AS A RESULT OF AN INTENSIVE DEVELOPMENT WORK, TECHNIP PROPOSES A PATENTED PROCESS WHICH COVERS A BROAD RANGE OF INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS FOR THE TREATMENT OF VARIOUS GASES SUCH AS NATURAL GAS, ASSOCIATED GAS, REFINERY OR ETHYLENE PLANT GASES. THIS PROCESS PROVIDES: INCREASED OPERABILITY AND FLEXIBILITY ; LOW INVESTMENT COST ; MODERATE ENERGY CONSUMPTIONS AND ; HIGH NGL EXTRACTION RATES AT A MINIMUM PRODUCTION COST.
