Summary
THE POSSIBILITY OF USING LYOPHILIZATION AND CRYOPRESERVATION FOR LONG-TERM STORAGE OF GRAM-NEGATIVE PSEUDOMONAS DENITRIFICANS BKM B-982 SOIL BACTERIA WAS STUDIED. FREEZING AND STORAGE IN LIQUID NITROGEN WAS FOUND TO BE THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHOD OF PRESERVATION. IT PROVIDES A MAXIMUM RATE OF VIABLE CELLS (NEARLY 100 %) AND THEIR STABILITY AT 77 K (-196 DEG C).
