Summary

THE VIABILITY AND BIOCHEMICAL ACTIVITY OF ARTHROBACTER CRYSTALLOPOIETES VKM AC-1098, SUBJECTED TO FREEZE-DRYING AND CRYOPRESERVATION IN VARIOUS PROTECTIVE MEDIA, WERE STUDIED. HORSE SERUM WITH 5 % MESO-INOSITOL, DRIED SKIM-MILK CAKE, 5 % TREHALOSE, 12 % SUCROSE AND 10 % GLYCEROL WERE USED. HORSE SERUM WITH 5 % MESO-INOSITOL WAS SHOWN TO BE THE BEST PROTECTIVE MEDIUM FOR FREEZE-DRYING AND CRYOPRESERVATION OF THE CULTURE.
