THEORETICAL ANALYSIS OF THE USE OF BINARY REFRIGERANT MIXTURES IN THE VAPOUR COMPRESSION CYCLE.

Summary

THE VAPOUR COMPRESSION CYCLE WHICH IS ALSO SOMETIMES CALLED THE REVERSE RANKINE CYCLE IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE FOR REFRIGERATION, AIR CONDITIONING AND HEAT PUMPS. AN IDEAL VAPOUR COMPRESSION CYCLE CAN BE FORMULATED WITH BINARY REFRIGERANT MIXTURES. THE CYCLE CAN BE SPECIFIED SO THAT THE HEAT TRANSFER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CONDENSER AND EVAPORATOR CAN BE INCLUDED IN THE ANALYSIS. THE RESULTS SHOW THAT THE USE OFBINARY MIXTURES CAN INCREASE THE COP BY MORE THAN 20%. (Bibliogr. int. IFP-AFME-CNRS, FR., 85-T230-6239.
