Theoretical model and investigations of transient thermal performance of a microchannel tube used for cooling processes.

Summary

Closed form solution for a mathematical model describing the transient behaviour of a microchannel tube cooler is presented. The model predicts the temperature distribution in the microchannel cooler for variable inlet fluid temperature. In terms of the presented model, the effect of different design parameters on the performance is discussed.
