Summary
The glass transition temperature of lyoprotectants for biomaterials is important in the lyoprotectant selection, freeze-drying process design and storage condition determination. In this study, trehalose, lactose, maltose, sucrose, glucose and bovine serum albumin were adopted to be lyoprotectants. Differential scanning calorimetry was employed to measure the glass transition temperature of suspension and freeze-dried samples. The factors influencing the glass transition temperature of suspension and freeze-dried samples were investigated.
