Summary
This book was published as part of the CETIAT collection. It helps assess the thermal comfort associated with air diffusion processes, in a simple and rapid manner. It provides formulae for most air diffusion processes, thus making it possible to determine the range of a jet as well as the temperature and speed of the air arriving in a occupied zones of buildings. The second section describes several numerical applications which illustrate the formulae presented in the first section. Table of contents: flow analysis (basic properties of air jets; adhesion of a jet flowing along a surface, jets revolving around a vertical axis; effects of confinement); system design (linear jet ceiling systems; vertical axis diffuser systems; ascending vertical jet systems).
