Thermal mission simulation: a marketing tool for the analysis of insulated packaging systems.

Author(s) : MEWMAN M. A.

Summary

The transportation of discrete small to medium sized parcels within which cargoes must be maintained within a strictly controlled temperature regime, is an important service for shippers of vaccines, meat samples, diagnostic specimens, etc. Shippers often have only a sparse knowledge of the thermal parameters of cargoes and coolants and so a need exists for a relatively simple analytical tool as a first step towards solving packaging problems. "Thermal mission simulation" is a PC based software package which has been developed as a marketing tool for the packaging and distribution engineer.
