Summary

A COMPUTER PROGRAM HAS BEEN DEVELOPED TO SIMULATE AN ABSORPTION HEATPUMP TEST PLANT WITH PLATE-FIN COMPONENTS. THE AIM IS TO DEVELOP A MORE GENERAL PROGRAM THAT CAN SERVE AS A DESIGN TOOL FOR ANY SORPTION SYSTEM. THAT IS WITH A FLEXIBLE CYCLE CONFIGURATION, COMPONENT GEOMETRY AND WORKING PAIR. ALSO A LITERATURE SURVEY HAS TAKEN PLACE TO FIND NEW PROMISING WORKING PAIRS. THE SELECTED WORKING PAIR HAS SERVED FOR SIMULATION PURPOSES, LATER MAYBE FOR EXPERIMENTS IN THE TEST PLANT. THIS TO ENLARGE THE ACCURACY AND RELIABILITY OF THE SIMULATION PROGRAM AND SECONDLY FOR A BETTER JUDGEMENT ON THE SUITABILITY OF THE PLATE-FIN COMPONENTS IN SORPTION SYSTEMS.
