Summary

THE TRIFLUORETHANOL-E 181 COUPLE PROPOSED FOR HEAT PUMPS AND HEAT TRANSFORMERS IS COMPARED TO CONVENTIONAL MIXTURES SUCH AS AMMONIA-WATER, R22-E 181, WATER-LITHIUM BROMIDE AND METHANOL-LITHIUM BROMIDE-ZINC BROMIDE. THE VAPOUR-LIQUID PHASE EQUILIBRIUM OF TRIFLUORETHANOL-E 181 WAS MEASURED AND A LOG P-1/T CHART WAS SET UP. TRIFLUORETHANOL-E 181 MAY REPLACE AMMONIA-WATER IN ABSORPTION HEAT PUMPS. THIS COUPLE USED IN HEAT TRANSFORMERS, IS BETTER THAN THE OTHERS.
