Summary

FOR REFRIGERANT OILS, GOOD MISCIBILITY AND HIGH THERMAL STABILITY WITH THE USED REFRIGERANT IS REQUIRED. THERMAL STABILITY DEPENDS ON THE REFRIGERANT AND ON THE MATERIALS IN THE REFRIGERANT CYCLE. THE THERMAL STABILITY CAN BE EXAMINED BY COMPRESSOR AND LABORATORY TESTS (SEALED-TUBE-TEST). THE PERFORMANCE CRITERIA FOR LABORATORY TESTS WAS THE REACTION-RATE OF REFRIGERANT R12 IN R22. FOR THE COMPRESSOR TEST, THE VISUAL INSPECTION OF THE DISMANTLED CMBTUESSOR PARTS WAS MORE DECIDING THAN THE REACTION RATE OF R12 TO R22. A SATISFYING CORRELATION FOR LABORATORY AND COMPRESSOR TESTS IS GIVEN REGARDING THE CHANGE OF THE REACTION RATE WITH CHANGING OF THE TEST TEMPERATURE IN THE LABORATORY TESTS.
