A PROJECT WAS UNDERTAKEN FOR THE SWEDISH COUNCIL FOR BUILDING RESEARCH ON THE POSSIBLE USE OF THERMOCHEMICAL HEAT STORAGE FOR SPACE HEATING. THIS PAPER DEALS WITH THE SELECTION OF SYSTEMS AND OF THE REACTIONS WITH A VIEW TO THE USE WITH SOLAR ENERGY AND THE APPLICATION TO FAMILY HOUSES AND DISTRICT HEATING AND THE LIMITS OF THESE SYSTEMS DUE TO THERMODYNAMIC AND PHYSICOCHEMICAL CRITERIA, TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS AND SWEDISH ECONOMY.
